"Systems of Romance" is a key work that paved the way for later new wave and synth pop. Influenced by Brian Eno, it combines cold, mechanical soundscapes with lyrical melodies. Created just before John Foxx's departure, this work marked the band's evolution and established them as pioneers of 1980s music.
