トランペット奏者ハンニバル・マーヴィン・ピーターソンが、自ら率いるサンライズ・オーケストラと録音した作品。アフリカ回帰や宇宙的（コズミック）なテーマを扱ったスピリチュアル・ジャズである。
ハンニバルのトランペットは、技術的な限界を超えるかのように高音域を駆け巡り、激しい感情を爆発させる。アルバムは、ライブ録音とスタジオ録音で構成され、特にライブサイドでは、パーカッション、詠唱、そしてオーケストラの自由な即興演奏が一体となり、儀式的な空間を生み出す。フリー・ジャズのエネルギーと、アフリカ音楽のリズムが融合し、聴き手を非日常的な音響体験へと誘う。
