Released in 1976. A work by the trio of Joe Sample (Pf.), Ray Brown (Ba.) and Shelly Manne (Ds.). Includes Joe Sample's original song "Funky Blues."
The trio's funky sound can be heard even without listening. This album was released as a direct cut by the Japanese label "East Wind". It includes standard songs, but Joe Sample's "Funky Blues" is a must-listen song that can be called instrumental R&B.
