Released in June 1970, this monumental album marked the beginning of early heavy metal.
"Gypsy"'s fusion of magnificent organ and power chords laid the foundation for the band's signature sound. While it received lukewarm critical acclaim upon its release, this paradoxically contributed to its growing recognition as a "cry at dawn" that shaped the heavy metal genre. This album, with its interplay of progressive development and metallic heaviness, is still spoken of as the "origin of the early heavy metal scene."
