大ヒットカバー曲「恋はあせらず」はダイアナ・ロスとシュープリームスがオリジナル。逆にフォープレイのカバーで有名な「朝がくるまで」のオリジナルが10曲目に収められている。
「恋はあせらず」をはじめ、フィル・コリンズのポップな楽曲に、彼自身が以前にもましてソウルやR&Bの要素を吸収し体現ようとした試行錯誤中の跡が聴いてとれる。
