The three Yonekawa sisters play the tunes of the koto and shamisen.
This is a collection of hit songs performed by the three sisters, Toshiko, Shizuko, and Toyohisa Yonekawa, using traditional Japanese instruments. Popular songs of the time, including "Ozashiki Kouta," are performed with an ensemble of koto and shamisen. The delicate tones of these Japanese instruments are an interesting attempt to shed new light on the emotion of Showa-era pop songs.
