An unknown masterpiece by a female vocalist that shone during the dawn of Japanese city pop.
A hidden gem from the late 1970s that combines urban sound with a natural singing voice.
Show Me Your Smile is a soft and solid solo album by Japanese rock queen Haruko Kuwana. From the opening song "Soshite Denwa no Bell wa" to the album title song "SHOW ME YOUR SMILE" and the closing song "Hitori Shibai", her natural and natural vocals quietly soak into the listener. What is particularly noteworthy is that while the album is lightly wrapped in the textures of AOR, jazz and bossa, it also contains a sense of Kansai humidity and distance. In songs such as "Motto Imagination" and "CHANCE", funk and reggae-like rhythms also make an appearance, and the arrangements are rich.
