The 1973 album reached number one in both the UK and the US.
After reaching the peak of their popularity on their US tour the previous year, the band was inspired by Bob Marley's breakthrough and recorded this album in Jamaica.
The album includes ballads such as "Angie's Sorrow" and "Doo Doo Doo...", which explore the band's new possibilities. The influence of funk and new soul can be heard clearly.
