The experimental spirit of Afrobeat
A-Muzik presents a fusion of Yoruba culture and modern funk.
A unique sound that blends elements of Nigerian traditional music, funk, and jazz. As the Yoruba greeting in the title "E Ku Iroju" suggests, a dialogue between African roots and modernity runs throughout the album. The complex polyrhythms and improvisational performances present an evolution of Afrobeat since Fela Kuti.
