This was their first hit song in their second year since debut.
This was the seventh single released in 1967. It sold about 800,000 copies and led to their first appearance at the Red and White Song Battle the following year.
The reason for its success was its "one man GS sound" which incorporated the "GS sound" that was sweeping the Japanese music scene at the time. There are two types of jackets.
