The four-member super band, BEAT, will be performing in Japan! This live album captures footage from a tour focusing on King Crimson in the 1980s.
A super band formed by former King Crimson legends Adrian Belew (guitar/vocals) and Tony Levin (bass), along with guitar virtuoso Steve Vai and Tool drummer Danny Carey!
The North American tour, performing songs from three iconic '80s albums by King Crimson ("DISCIPLINE," "BEAT," and "THREE OF A PERFECT PAIR"), will kick off in San Jose, California on September 12, 2024, with 65 shows. Following this, a South American tour will begin in Monterrey, Mexico on April 24, 2025. Furthermore, a performance at Nippon Budokan in Japan is scheduled for Monday, September 1, 2025! The DVD "Live," featuring footage from the tour's performance at the United Theatre on Broadway on November 10, 2024, will be released. The vision for this endeavor was born from initial conversations between Angelo Bundini (aka Scuroto) and Adrian Belew. Tour producer Bundini recalls, "When Adrian contacted me to ask for help realizing his idea, I immediately knew it would be best to focus on the '80s albums - 'Discipline,' 'The Beat,' and 'Three of a Perfect Pair.' These three albums are known for coming out of the period when Adrian and Tony joined King Crimson. Their mastery of fluid melodies, combined with Robert Fripp and Bill Bruford's dramatic precision, created a wholly unique dynamic that would influence nearly every rock musician and band that followed for years, if not decades."
