This compilation features Studio G, founded in London in 1966 by John Gale, a group known for producing a wide range of genres and styles for local TV, sports programs, and advertising, unleashing a commercial gamut of genres and styles ranging from pastoral folk, manic horror, funk-spat jazz, eccentric pop, seductive electro, to national anthems, children's music, and any other practical music society demanded at any given time. While larger companies like KPM, Bruton, DeWolfe, and Chappell dominated the market, Studio Goffer offered a compelling alternative, not only for its own bold and adventurous music, but also for its sophisticated and hip art, a style not found in the largely unremarkable album covers released by its neighbors. Since the 1940s, library music has receded into the background, gradually influencing our lives through television, radio, and film. With connections to cues heard in Doctor Who, Top Crown and The Snooker, not to mention sampled takes from The Chemical Brothers, UNKLE, Tyler, The Creator and Knucklewedge, the Jazz Dispensary team have handpicked some of the most popular cuts ever made and meticulously stitched them together to form two seamless fever fantasies fit for the 22nd century.
