This album has no throwaway songs, with many songs being re-released as singles.
The second album released in 1979. It was a work that showed the band's true potential as a rock band more than their debut album "TOTO/Space Knights". It also includes songs that approach hard rock.
The album also contains hard rock songs, with "White Sister" and "All Us Boys" attracting particular attention. The single "99" was inspired by George Lucas's debut film "THX 1138"1. The songs on this album include "99," "St. George and the Dragon," the title track "Hydra," "All Us Boys," and "White Sister," which were all re-released as singles, albeit as B-sides. This album can be said to have been the one that revealed Toto's new direction.
