The Golden Trio led by the great maestro Oistrakh performs a supreme performance filled with the dignity and compassion of the "Grand Duke."

This is a widely acclaimed recording of a masterpiece by an ensemble of three great conductors, Oistrakh, Knushevitzky, and Oborin, which depicts one of Beethoven's greatest masterpieces, the "Archduke Trio," in a dignified manner with rich tone and tight rhythm.

Bringing together some of the 20th century's most virtuoso musicians, the Oistrakh Trio's "Grand Duke Trio" is a quintessential chamber music recording, seamlessly blending the three musicians' sophisticated skills and musical perspectives. Oistrakh's expansive violin, Knushevitzky's rich cello, and Oborin's steady piano complement each other to create a three-dimensional structure, clearly revealing the structure of the work in each movement. In particular, the gentle dialogue between the three, especially in the slow movement, carefully illuminates the work's spiritual essence, while the final movement's expression, combining momentum and elegance, stands out. This supreme performance conveys why this recording has long been widely beloved as a signature of the "Grand Duke."
