Violinist Renaud Capuçon has announced that he will sign a contract with Deutsche Grammophon (DG) in September 2022.
A collection of works by Richard Strauss, a composer who occupies the center of his repertoire!
This album contains Strauss's most important works in the violin repertoire, including violin concertos, violin sonatas, and chamber music. CD3 also contains an unreleased recording of Strauss's large-scale work "Symphonic Poem "A Hero's Life" by the Gustav Mahler Youth Orchestra led by conductor Seiji Ozawa. This live recording was made in Salzburg in 2000, and Capuçon, who was in his early 20s at the time, plays the solo part as concertmaster.
