A selection of masterpieces from Nippon Columbia's extensive catalogue will be reissued by Nippon Columbia's global brand NIPPONOPHONE.
The magic of the groove played by the members of the legendary combo Freedom Unity. A miraculous album featuring the cool and mellow masterpiece "Romance"!
Hiroshi Suzuki, a trombonist who has been active in the Japanese jazz scene from modern jazz to free jazz. He moved to the US in 1971, and on his first visit to Japan in about four years, he created this album with his former members of Freedom Unity, Akira Ishikawa, Ken Muraoka, Hiromasa Suzuki, and Kunimitsu Inaba. The album includes the sharp "Shrimp Dance," the dynamic "Kuro To Shiro," the soulful "Walk Tall," the deep "Cat," and the mellow "Romance." All the songs are colored with vivid grooves, making this a miraculous masterpiece.
