Akira Kosemura is one of the most streamed Japanese classical artists, and has been praised by leading media around the world, including Pitchfork, who said, "His melodies, which never tire, are what set him apart from other musicians." He is a rare artist who continues to be active both in Japan and abroad, not only for his own works, but also for the music of many well-known films, dramas, games, and commercials, including the Cannes Film Festival's official entry "Morning Comes" (directed by Naomi Kawase) and the popular American TV drama "Love Is." His talent has been enthusiastically supported by such prestigious artists as Devendra Banhart, Gilles Peterson, and M83. In 2022, he attracted attention for his EP release from Decca Records, and for the music of the films "From Lagerland with Love" and "Sakura-iro no Kaze ga Baku."
