Hard rock meets the near future - a sci-fi rock epic that explodes with Guillain's signature style.
An aggressive and experimental album by Gillan, led by former Deep Purple member Ian Gillan. A heretical work of 80's British rock that combines power and eccentricity.
"Future Shock" is a 1981 work by Gillan, the solo project led by former Deep Purple vocalist Ian Gillan. As the title suggests, this work is based on the theme of "future shock", and is an energetic rock album that combines heavy guitar riffs and futuristic sounds with synthesizers, and Gillan's shout-like vocals stand out. The lyrics are also filled with satire and satire, and exude a complex perspective on the society and technology of the time. It is an ambitious work that does not just remain a simple hard rock, but pursues the possibilities of rock as an expression.
