Andrew Lloyd Webber's Evita
The 1996 film soundtrack brings to life the Argentine heroic tale.
The film version, starring Madonna as Eva Peron, has a different appeal from the stage version. Weber's music depicts a grand drama of politics and love, ambition and sacrifice. Classic songs such as "Don't Cry For Me Argentina" are reinterpreted on a cinematic scale.
