A big hit single released by Chiyoko Shimakura in 1987
This single became his biggest hit and his signature song. He was asked to write it as the theme song for the daytime drama "Midoshima" at the time. The song was inspired by the composer Hamaguchi Kunosuke's "Saka no Aru Machi" (A Town with a Hill).
A few months after the song's release, it won the Japan Lyricist Award and the Japan Record Award for Best Lyricist, which brought the song into the spotlight, and its popularity was further boosted when Kuniko Yamada did an impersonation of it on the popular variety show Ore Tachi Hyokinki Zoku.
