This legendary album, originally released in 1986, has been reborn as a high-precision, high-tech vinyl record using hypersonic sound processing and half-speed mastering. A unique sonic universe where ancient and future, nature and technology coexist!

A grand four-part "ecological symphony" that depicts the cycle of life, death, and rebirth, combining a variety of sounds including Bulgarian choral singing, Javanese gamelan, African environmental sounds, electronic sounds, and Buddhist chanting, all of which they have been practicing.

Shoji Yamashiro, founder and director of Geino Yamashirogumi, later proposed the "hypersonic effect," a theory that high frequencies above the human audible range (20 kHz) directly affect the brain and body. The idea originated from the "difference in the vitality of sound" he felt when comparing the vinyl and CD versions of "Rinne Symphony" at the time of its release. He subsequently scientifically verified this theory, designed a recording and playback system that could handle sounds beyond the audible range, and successfully implemented this effect in musical expression. This reissue marks an unprecedented attempt to put this theory into practice on vinyl. Miles Showell, a world leader in half-speed mastering, was responsible for the cutting at the prestigious Abbey Road Studios in the UK. By engraving the lacquer with twice the usual precision and bypassing the high-frequency filters commonly used in the cutting process, he succeeded in capturing ultra-high frequencies inaudible to the human ear. Yamashiro has long exerted a profound influence on Japanese audio culture, and the original recording of "Symphony of Rinne" is renowned as a rare and elusive masterpiece, beloved among audiophiles as a "reference record" for measuring audio equipment. This music is by no means background music. When you listen deeply and surrender your consciousness, the sound fills the space and passes through your body. It transcends the act of "listening"; it is a journey of the senses and consciousness itself. Manga artist Katsuhiro Otomo was so moved by this work that he commissioned Yamashiro to create the soundtrack for the animated film "AKIRA." The acoustic philosophy established in "Symphony of Rinne" formed the foundation for the sound design and sonic world of "AKIRA," creating its unique worldview. Now, those sounds, imprinted across the ages, will once again stir people's senses.
