A spectacular rock opera album that took the world by storm.
A double concept album released in 1979. It reached number 3 in the UK and number 1 in the US, and has sold over 30 million copies worldwide. The lead single, "Another Brick in the Wall," also reached number 1 in both the US and the UK.
This work is also a grand rock opera. During the world tour following the release of the album, the band's large-scale performance in which they actually built a wall on stage became a hot topic. A film was also produced, making this a multimedia work that combines music and video.
