Four years after the release of his original album "ONE WORLD" in 2021, DJ KAWASAKI's new song has been released on 7" vinyl.
This is a superb instrumental boogie fusion featuring Taiwanese-born, New York-based vibraphonist Chien Chien Lu and steel pan player Tsuyoshi Habu "TICO" from LITTLE TEMPO, one of Japan's leading instrumental dub bands!
Side A features the original version featuring Taiwanese vibraphonist Chien Chien Lu, a great admirer of Roy Ayers. Chien Chien Lu's cover of Roy Ayers' "We Live in Brooklyn Baby," released on his debut album, "The Path," in 2020, garnered significant attention. His thrilling, contemporary, and luxurious performance, with a touch of ambient ambience, elevates DJ Kawasaki's melody to a more sophisticated, sophisticated sound. Side B features an exclusive version featuring Tsuyoshi "TICO" Habu, steel pan player for Japan's top instrumental dub band, LITTLE TEMPO, who is active at various festivals and live shows both in Japan and overseas. The deep and tasteful sound of Tsuyoshi "TICO" Habu's steel pan transforms the original jazz and fusion-style sound into a tropical, breezy summer boogie reminiscent of the Caribbean Sea between Jamaica and Trinidad and Tobago. Co-produced by Shuya Okino (KYOTO JAZZ MASSIVE / KYOTO JAZZ SEXTET), whom DJ Kawasaki regards as his mentor. The fresh, seasonal design was created by fellow DJ Yusuke Yoshinaga (solla Inc.). The musicians involved in the production of the songs are DJ KAWASAKI's close friends who also support his band-style live performances: Rhodes: Nakamura Arata, Percussion: Nishioka Hidero (CENTRAL/VenueVincent), Bass: Nanjo Leo (CENTRAL/tropico), Guitar: Odate Tetta, Drums: soki-Kimura Sosei (Osaka Monaurail). Mixing and mastering were handled by DJ KAWASAKI himself. Both versions have now been released on 7" vinyl ahead of their digital release! These dance tunes are perfect for the dance floor and give you a taste of DJ KAWASAKI's ever-evolving sound!
