The soundtrack for "ILLUSION CITY," originally developed by Microcabin as an RPG for MSXturboR in 1991 and later ported to other PCs and home game consoles, has been remastered and is being reissued!
The music, created by Tadahiro Nitta, Yasufumi Fukuda, and Koji Urita, who were all members of Micro Cabin at the time, attracted attention for its exquisite FM sound. The futuristic and cool sound is worthy of being touted as a cyberpunk super-legendary RPG, sharply expressing the game's worldview!
"ILLUSION CITY," a popular RPG set in a near-future Hong Kong with a cyberpunk-style story, was released by Microcabin in December 1991 for MSXturboR and has since been ported to PCs such as the PC-9801, PC-88VA, X68000, and FM-TOWNS, as well as the Mega CD (an expansion CD-ROM unit for the Mega Drive). The music was created by Tadahiro Nitta, Yasufumi Fukuda, and Koji Uriida, who were all members of Microcabin at the time, and features a cool, near-future sound that combines inorganic electric beats with a variety of ambience, resulting in a work that has earned high praise as game music.
