The film's music was composed by Yoshio Mamiya. This album is a literal soundtrack that contains the entire soundtrack of the film, including not only the music but also the dialogue and sound effects. It includes a selection of famous scenes. A 16-page saddle-stitched liner note (containing the script for the portion recorded on the LP) is also included.

The album was written and composed by Joe Hisaishi, Katsuo Ohno, and Machiko Ryu, and all arrangements were done by Masaaki Omura. It contains nine fresh, colorful songs, such as the AOR number "Stop the Falling Rain," which truly showcases Omura's unique style, and the tropical samba "Luna Park 3pm," which also has a mellow side.
