The starting point of Shonen Knife! This memorable first release, a self-produced cassette tape from 1982, has been eagerly awaited by Shonen Knife fans worldwide for the first time on CD! Rumor has it that only 89 copies were ever made at the time (50 by the band itself and 39 by the label), making this an extremely rare item.
This is truly a treasure trove of songs that would later appear on the band's first three albums, such as "Burning Farm," "Banana Leaf," and "Summertime Boogie," as well as songs that can only be heard on this album.
After this, their first album, Burning Farm, released in 1983 on Zero Records, was released on cassette by K Records, run by US indie heavyweight Calvin Johnson, in 1985. Kurt Cobain, who must have picked up the album, fell in love with it and selected Shonen Knife as the opening act for Nirvana's UK tour, which led to their global rise. This was the starting point of it all!
