"In The World," the pinnacle of spiritual jazz left behind by tenor saxophone giant Clifford Jordan, is being reissued in high-quality SHM-CD format!

This legendary modern jazz album, also known as "the jazz cafe masterpiece," is being reborn!

Born in Chicago in 1931, tenor saxophonist Clifford Jordan continued to express the essence of hard bop until his death in March 1993. He debuted on Blue Note in the late '50s, traversed the turbulent '60s, and was self-recorded in the spring of 1969, just as he was approaching his peak in the '70s. This album, self-recorded and released in 1972 by Strata-East, was the first in the Jordan-produced "Dolphy Series." The highlight is the virtuoso performance of "Vienna," featuring Jordan, Don Cherry, and Wynton Kelly, who create a euphoric daydream over minor-key melodies and a pensive waltz beat. The album's brimming with mad pathos, sensuality, and lyricism continues to evoke a rare allure, making it a legendary masterpiece and a monumental milestone in modern jazz history!
