The two albums are combined for the first time and released on vinyl.
"I think you can hear what jazz is on this tape." - Keith Jarrett
The first selection, "At the Deer Head Inn," captures Jarrett's spontaneous and, in retrospect, historic return to the Pennsylvanian venue of his early days with Gary Peacock (bass) and Paul Motian (drums). The second, titled "Old Country," was released 30 years later in 2024 and was hailed by The Guardian's John Fordham as "a masterpiece of song-driven jazz imagination." Now, together, the two albums are available for the first time on vinyl.
