Miyuki Hatakeyama, who has begun to shine even more as a solo artist, has released a superb cover album as her second solo work.
The project was inspired by the covers she included as B-sides on previously released singles, and features a selection of songs from a wide range of genres that strongly reflect her musical roots.
As a vocalist, she has absorbed everything from Double Famous and Port Of Notes, and has arrived at a unique voice. This is something that can only be achieved through experience. Her original voice and innovative approach bring back many famous songs from both Japan and overseas, including Antonio Carlos Jobim, The Rolling Stones, Norah Jones, Anne Burton, Nina Simone, and Yumi Arai! Takuji Aoyagi, Yosuke Konuma, and Manabu Sakata also participate, but only a few songs are arranged with a band. Most of the rest are rhythmless acoustic songs. This is why the world expressed by her "songs" stands out, and this album is full of richness and depth.
