The origins of funk rock were born from a chemical reaction with George Clinton.
RHCP's early masterpiece "Freaky Styley" was produced by P-Funk king George Clinton and developed a rough sound where funk and punk collide. Anthony and Flea's personalities were still on the verge of exploding, but their energy had already exceeded its limits. The "unregulated possibility" foreshadowed the great leap forward that followed.
