A live album that fully captures the excitement of the Japanese title "Elvis in New York"

It was reportedly released just nine days after the 1972 live recording, and was the first release to allow fans to enjoy a concert from start to finish.

Elvis visited Madison Square Garden in New York during his live tour, and the first and last New York concert attracted about 80,000 people over three days, including David Bowie, John Lennon, Bob Dylan, Art Garfunkel, and Bruce Springsteen. Pianist Glen Hardin said that the concert was so good that "Elvis's performance at that time was the best he'd ever done before or since."
