"I Have My Own Sky", Noel Gallagher's new start.
After the breakup of Oasis, the elder Gallagher brother quietly set out on his solo debut, a declaration of independence, unforced and unadorned, in keeping with his own aesthetic.
Noel Gallagher's first solo album, released in 2011, is a more introspective and warm work, while inheriting the sense of melody he cultivated during his time with Oasis. Songs such as "The Death of You and Me" and "If I Had a Gun..." are impressive for their refined sound and relaxed singing. Although he carries the glory of Britpop on his shoulders, this is a sincere album that chooses to express Noel as he is now, without clinging to past glories.
