This is the first reissue of a wonderful single released in 1977 by SCRAP, a five-piece band led by vocalist/guitarist Shuji Nakao and arranger/bassist Hiroaki Kuroda. This is the ultimate Japanese Philly/crossover soul album.

This talented band brings to life a Japanese soul-funk sound that combines a style influenced by Western soul, funk, and AOR of the time with outstanding performances and large-scale arrangements. Recommended for fans of city pop.

This is a masterpiece that lingers in your ears at first listen, with a gorgeous Philly soul-style string arrangement reminiscent of the Sigma sound, a solid rhythm section, and the sweet phrase "I won't let you go home tonight." It also includes "SalSoul Beach Line," with a melody and arrangement reminiscent of the British band Jigsaw, known for their global hit "Sky High." This is not just a rarity-driven, self-produced/private release, but a double-sided album with outstanding quality!
