Joe Hisaishi's second album for Deutsche Grammophon is a collection of classical works that highlights his refined technique and sensibility as a classical composer and conductor.
"Symphony No. 2," which premiered in Kyoto in 2021, will be recorded for the first time in the world with the Vienna Symphony Orchestra and the Vienna Philharmonic under the direction of the artist himself. "Viola Saga," also a world premiere recording, will feature viola soloist Antoine Tamestit.
