David Bowie's 18th concept album
The album was co-produced by Brian Eno, who worked with him on the Berlin Trilogy, and is based on Bowie's original story, "The Story of Nathan Adler."
It was originally planned to be a series of three to five parts based on an original story, but in the end this was the only one, so the original title is numbered "1. Outside."
