One of the Riverside tetralogy by a leading modern jazz pianist
The tracks on the album include such classic repertoire as "Israel" and "Elsa," as well as "Nerdies," a song that Miles Davis dedicated to his beloved Evans.
This album, along with "Portrait in Jazz," "Waltz for Debby," and "Sandy at the Village Vanguard," is known as the "Riverside Tetralogy." "Nardis" is a song that Miles gave to Evans, but no recording of it by Miles himself has been found.
