A huge hit solo album after leaving the band.
His second solo album, released in 1986, was a huge hit that reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100 and included the theme song for the movie The Karate Kid Part II, "Glory of Love," and a duet with Amy Grant, "The Next Time I Fall."
In 1985, he left Chicago to focus on his solo work. This was his first album since leaving the band. The first track, "Big Mistake," and the ninth track, "Only Love Knows Why," were originally planned to be included on "Chicago 18."
