"Take A Ride" combines smooth vocals with a roots reggae rhythm, conveying the atmosphere of 1970s Jamaica. Alton Ellis's "Pearl" on the B-side is also a masterpiece, his bittersweet vocals resonating deeply in the heart. Though the record is slightly warped, the musical value remains unchanged, making this a reggae gem.
