The raw energy of JB-influenced funk
Written by Maceo Parker, the saxophonist who played with the Jazz Brothers. A vibrant performance blending funk and soul jazz.
A powerful funk groove takes center stage. In the opening track, "Maceo's Groove," the horn section and rhythm section work together seamlessly, with Maceo Parker's sharp alto saxophone soaring brilliantly. "Sing A Simple Song" features a lively beat and expansive horn phrases, highlighting the band's tightly coordinated performance. "Inner City Blues" exudes a deep groove, leaving a strong impression of soulfulness. The horns and rhythm section, carrying on the legacy of the James Browns, are interwoven, allowing listeners to intensely experience the allure of funk.
