Two albums from Humbert Humbert's "FOLK" series are being released on vinyl for the first time!
"FOLK 2," originally released in 2018 to commemorate the band's 20th anniversary, is now available on vinyl for the first time (monaural version).
Humbert Humbert's "FOLK" is a project album series in which they record self-covers of their own classic and popular songs, as well as covers of songs that transcend generations and genres, from Japanese folk masterpieces to 90s J-POP, all performed by just the two of them without any support musicians. From this popular series, which has already released four works, "FOLK" and "FOLK 2" will be released as limited first-edition vinyl records. "FOLK," the first installment of the project, was released in 2016 as a 15th-anniversary album and includes 12 tracks in total, including re-recordings of their representative songs such as "Onaji Hanashi" and "Kokugo," a self-cover of "Chiisana Boukensha," the ending theme song of the popular anime "KonoSuba: God's Blessing on This Wonderful World!" which celebrates its 10th anniversary this year, and covers of songs that transcend generations and genres, such as "Seikatsu no Gara (Wataru Takada)" and "Sayonara Jinrui (Tama/Yoichiro Yanagihara)." Released in 2018, "FOLK 2" contains 12 tracks in total, including original songs such as the popular song "Eien no Yuuhi" (Eternal Sunset), which was released as a new song at the time, and "Tora" (Tiger), a piano arrangement that continues to be relevant today, as well as cover songs such as "Chiisana Koi no Uta (MONGOL800)" and "Hikoukigumo (Yumi Arai)". Both tracks have been remastered in mono for this analog release.
