John was tragically shot, and his masterpiece, released seven months later, is being reissued on vinyl for the first time in 45 years.

Relaunched! The fourth installment of the Yoko Ono re-evaluation project.

Just seven months after John Lennon's tragic death, Yoko Ono's landmark album "Season of Grass," released in June 1981, is being reissued on analog LP for the first time in 45 years. The "45th Anniversary Edition" LP features a new remaster from the original tapes and is available on limited edition white vinyl. The artwork of the original album has been reproduced as closely as possible, and a bonus poster is included along with a new booklet containing previously unreleased photographs. The Japanese edition features a round obi strip with a grapefruit as its eye-catching design. New liner notes are also included. This album, her fifth solo album, reached the Top 50 on the US album charts at the time, received four stars from Rolling Stone magazine, and was selected by Pitchfork magazine as one of the "200 Best Albums of the 80s." The album contains a collection of sincere, loving, and at times heartbreakingly harsh songs that explore themes of love, loss, anger, and fear. This film relentlessly imprints her own experiences, creating a work that stands in parallel with her 1970 albums "John Lennon/Plastic Ono Band" and "Yoko Ono." Now widely recognized as a powerful artistic declaration depicting grief and loss, it is considered one of Yoko Ono's masterpieces. Every December 8th, the day John was killed, she posts the cover photo of John's blood-stained glasses on her social media, along with the number of people who have lost their lives to guns since that day (this latest version is included as a bonus poster).
