Scott Jarrett's Reason Without Rhyme asks:
An experimental work that shakes the boundaries between jazz and funk.
Scott Jarrett's 1980 release, "Without Rhyme Or Reason," is an ambitious work that opened up new horizons for jazz funk. Characterized by complex rhythmic structures and highly improvisational performance, it took the fusion boom of the 1970s a step further. The intertwining of electric piano and horn section is regarded as an innovative attempt in the crossover jazz scene of the time.
