The title song is extremely well-known in Asia outside of Japan and is even featured in high school music textbooks.
On April 1, 1980, Shinji Tanimura released his first title song after moving to POLYSTAR, "Subaru", as a single. This song was included in his 6th solo album after moving to POLYSTAR, which was released on April 25 of the same year.
"Subaru" is the Japanese name for the constellation Pleiades. This famous song was also used as a commercial song for Nikka Whisky. Apparently, he wrote the lyrics while lying down on the floor of a cardboard box he had for a move.
