This City Pop work came out during the heyday of folk songs.

Released in 1976. This is the first album, featuring the title track "Shallow Dreams" and its B-side "Awaiting One Doesn't Come".

All the songs on this album were stockpiled together with her sister Etsuko Kisugi before her debut. The songs were highly praised by Yumi Arai and were thought to be big hits, but since folk songs were at their peak, it ended up being a premature City Pop album.
