Cassiopeia opens the door to fusion
The origins of Japanese fusion are revived in this reissue.
The technical yet groovy sound created by the golden lineup of Issei Noro on guitar, Minoru Mukaitani on keyboards, Tetsuo Sakurai on bass, and Akira Jimbo on drums transformed the Japanese jazz rock scene in the late 1970s. Their fusion of crossover and fusion had a huge influence on subsequent artists.
