This is the debut album of the four-member girl group, released after gaining attention in the film "Cool Runnings."
This New York-based four-piece band presents a work based on ragga hip-hop and dancehall, with heavy beats and catchy vocals.
Combining elements of the then-emerging ragga hip-hop and R&B styles, the album features a pronounced bassline at its center, with percussion and sampled sounds on either side creating a three-dimensional soundscape. From songs with strong messages to the lovers' rock feel of Louisa Mark's cover of "Six Street," the album objectively documents the thriving New York reggae scene of the mid-1990s.
