Sviatoslav Richter (March 20, 1915 - August 1, 1997) was hailed as the greatest pianist of the 20th century.
This is one of a series of live recordings of Richter's performances in his later years.
He reads Mozart's scores with a rich range of expression, imbuing each and every note with a rich spontaneity. This is a lively Mozart performance that shows Richter's unique supreme state. Recorded in Como, February 1989, and Stuttgart, October 1991.
