The origins of city pop, filled with transparent emotion
Although this is their debut album, it presents urban pop music that combines a sophisticated sound with lyricism.
Released on June 25th, 1980, as Kumiko Yamashita's debut album, this album blends rock pop with city pop elements, and is notable for its urban-sounding vocals and arrangements. The title track, "Bathroom From Love," was also her debut single and became a symbol of her musicality. The entire album was arranged by Masataka Matsutoya, and its sophisticated sound permeates the entire album.
