Akihisa Kitazato's (counting from his days under the name Alfred Beach Sandal) fifth full album, "Sand Time, Water Town", has been released on LP.
This is the first work in four years since "Tones" released in 2019.
Yuichi Shiota (Gt), Wataru Mitsunaga (Dr), Kota Ikebe (Ba), and Saori Yamamoto (Fl), who are familiar from the band's live performances, participated as support musicians. While giving a sense of the richness of the musical background of Brazilian music, Afrobeat, dub, soul, and funk, the delicate and beautiful singing voice, the melodies and lyrics spun from a unique perspective, are integrated and show a breadth beyond imagination. In addition to the pre-release singles "In Bloom" (mixed and mastered by ZAK) and "Oasis no Mabataki" (mixed and mastered by Ryoji Yanagida), a cover of Kebab Johnson's "Torch Song" is also included. Throughout the album, it is a fantastical and rich work that gives the feeling of traveling through a fictional city and being lost in another world. Ryoji Yanagida is in charge of recording the new songs, and Naoyuki Uchida is in charge of mixing and mastering. The jacket visual is by Isamu Gakiya, and the design is by itsuko kira.
