Schelling's Brahms
Henryk Szeryng's performance combines intelligence and passion.
Schelling beautifully expresses the symphonic scale of the Violin Concerto. His collaboration with the London Symphony Orchestra conducted by Antal Dorati is also excellent, and the close dialogue between soloist and orchestra is impressive. This performance remains highly regarded as a masterpiece of Brahms' Violin Concerto.
